Spectrum Spread margarine

1-

What IS this crap? Spectrum Spread boasts that it “tastes like butter.” Indeed it does, but that’s where the similarity ends. This stuff DOES NOT MELT, has a bizarre jiggly consistency, and you absolutely cannot fry with it. If you put it in the microwave, it globs up and explodes. If you spread it on warm toast, it remains there in a gelatinous mass. It’s only tolerable when mixed with copious cinnamon and sugar and used as a nasty excuse for cinnamon toast. Spectrum Spread has less saturated fat than most margarines and is made with healthy canola oil. I applaud them for trying, but they’ve got a long way to go.
