So Delicious sugar-free vanilla (chocolate covered) ice cream bars

3

What is ice cream? It’s sugar and frozen goo. Take away the sugar and what does that leave? That's right, just the goo. And goo is boring. So Delicious sugar-free ice cream bars are pretty good for sugar free, but they don't satisfy the urge for something decadent. The chocolate coating is tasty, though.

Trader Joe's chocolate liqueur cherries

5

When these appear around Christmas, I'm sure to buy a few boxes to stock up. The chocolate has a nice smooth texture and a good level of sweetness. Each candy has a whole cherry inside, along with some sweet white filling and a splash of cherry-infused booze. Incredibly delicious, and a fancy treat for parties. A box of these also makes a nice gift. There's not much alcohol in these, but you may get carded when you buy them.

Nature's Path organic double fudge brownie mix

5

Nice and sweet. The chocolate chips in the mix are a nice touch, making each bite a little surprise. These brownies had a lovely texture and were super easy and quick to make. No frosting needed. Plus, they’re whole wheat! Yay!

Near East whole grain roasted pecan and garlic boxed rice dish

4

Pleasant but unexciting, fabulous texture, odd smell.

Suzanne's Ricemellow Creme (marshmallow creme)

5

This delicious marshmallow creme is great for topping desserts and hot cocoa. You can also make krispy bars with it. Just use it in place of the same weight package of marshmallows.

Tofutti Cuties wild berry ice cream sandwiches

5

If you haven’t tried Tofutti Cuties, you are missing out. These delightful ice cream sandwiches have wonderful flavor and texture and are a convenient snacking size at a good price. They taste best when the ice cream is just slightly melted and beginning to drip around the edges. But put the sandwich into a bowl if you don’t want the wafer parts to stick to the wrapper in your warm hands! The wild berry is my favorite variety.

Vegan Sweets white chocolate chips

5

Perfect white chocolate, very delicious. Creamy and sweet. The texture and flavor are identical to any standard white chocolate.

Vegan Sweets marshmallows

4

For a while, this was the only vegetarian marshmallow on the market. The raw sugar makes them gritty and less than white, but the flavor is wonderful. These are great right out of the bag, roasted over fire, puffed up in the microwave, or melted for krispy bars. Order these online if you can't find them in the store. The "irregular" marshmallows are much cheaper and just as tasty as the regular ones!

Trader Joe's eggplant garlic spread

4

A delicious and versatile dip/spread. Great for bread or sandwiches, or scoop it up with tortilla chips or cut veggies. Probably good as a pasta or rice topping too. The flavor is difficult to describe: hearty, vaguely sweet, vaguely spicy, vaguely Indian. Highly recommended.

Trader Joe's lowfat granola with almonds

Sweet, tasty, basically what you'd expect.

Nature's Path organic hemp plus brownie mix

4

These brownies had a lovely texture and were super easy and quick to make, but they were not quite sweet enough. They would be good with frosting. Plus, they’re actually whole wheat! Yay!

Ralph's crispy rice cereal

3

Nothing surprising here. They are pretty lame alone but are fine to mix with fancier cereals or to use to make krispy bars.

Trader Joe's organic lentil vegetable soup (canned)

5

A great soup, hearty and flavorful. It even has large pieces of green beans in it. This soup is so substantial it begs to be poured over rice or a baked potato. The result is a cheap, filling, easy, healthful lunch. I keep several cans of this on hand in my office. All I need to do is bring a little Tupperware full of rice to complete this awesome meal at my desk.

Uncle Eddie's chocolate chip cookies

4

They have the perfect amount of saltiness - a tough find. These cookies get a 4 because Uncle Eddie wants to make you fat. All the Uncle Eddie's flavors are delicious but noticeably greasy. Their fat content is off the charts, with an undesirably high level of saturated fat too. These things will soak through a stack of napkins and add inches to your waistline in no time. That’s probably why they taste sooooo good.

Whole Foods frozen mango bars

4

Fruit-juice popsicles sporting hunks of actual mango. If you love mangoes, these make an awesome dessert or snack.

So Delicious creamy raspberry bars

5

Damn, these are good! And only 80 calories each! The raspberry flavor is perfect, and nicely swirled with the vanilla, which is also just lovely. Great texture too. I’d say these may be the best lo-cal frozen treats I’ve had.

Follow Your Heart Vegan Gourmet mozzarella cheese block

4

This vegan cheese melts. It tastes a little weird but is delicious. Follow Your Heart mozzarella makes excellent nachos (microwave), great mac & cheese (oven or stove top), and okay pizza. It’s tasty sliced on a roll or bagel or when shredded on salads or potatoes. This is one of the best brands of vegan cheese on the market today. The mozzarella flavor is not as good as the cheddar flavor, but it still earns a high rating.

Trader Joe's punjab eggplant

4

Nice Indian eggplant flavor, a little sweet and rather spicy. There's enough sauce to mix this with some plain beans or roasted potatoes.
